Bassist, Composer, and Sound Explorer
Franzi Aller loves discovering beauty in sound. As a bassist and double bassist, she has performed with numerous bands, including her own, Franzi Aller (aka blue Lion), Quique Sinesi Quartet, Julius Apriadi, Conic Rose, Soft Block, and the HR Big Band, as well as with artists like Tony Lakatos.

Aller also composes for ensembles ranging from string groups to orchestras, crafting emotional “architectures” through sound waves. Her orchestral work includes compositions for Stegreiforchester, Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester, Neuköllner Oper, (music theater projects such as Pandora’s Podcast). She writes for string ensembles, her own band.

“I’m searching for that one sound that makes me forget everything — a few seconds of free fall in beauty.”

I’m based in Berlin, where I co-founded Slink Sonic Studios with my partner, Steve Nanda, as part of Slink Sonic Productions.

We have produced projects like the Tony Lakatos trio’s single “Skylark”.

I wrote the string arrangements for Julie Kuhl’s debut album “Born with Nostalgic Bones” and for Kelvyn Colt’s acoustic version of “Mama”.

Together with Julius Apriadi, I’ve released two albums.

Right now, I’m recording my own debut album, set to come out in 2025.
